I’m having fun with my favorites these past couple days, but it’s not settling talking about “things” all the time when I’m witnessing thousands upon thousands of people being misplaced out of their homes in Northern & Southern California due to these fires.
So as I contemplated what I wanted to post today, I got a knock on my door from our neighbor, Liz, this afternoon. “Ethan (my firefighter husband) was telling me yesterday about the Toys for Tots drive that the firehouse does and I wanted to do my part.” I even have a lump in my throat writing this. My crummy day yesterday doesn’t even touch the surface of what so many are going through. Thank you for your big heart, Liz.
Then the charity that is closest to my heart is the @leukemialymphomasociety as I lived through what cancer can do. Not only do you get diagnosed, but everyone in your family “gets” cancer when you do. It’s a group battle.
Why do I run my Rodan+Fields side business? Because I’m committed to matching what my Dad raised for LLS in his first year of fundraising for it when I was diagnosed...$93,000.
